Following the commissioning of the new paper hall, the new delivery site for private disposers of AWA Entsorgungs GmbH at the Warden waste management center has now also been officially put into operation.
The central operating area of the delivery site for private disposers is the covered delivery ramp for the height-displaced acceptance of municipal waste.
But also hazardous waste from the construction sector as well as old electrical equipment and electronic scrap can be delivered and handed in protected from the weather. The delivery site for private disposers is rounded off by a hazardous waste collection point, the acceptance area for construction waste, an acceptance point for recyclables and depot containers for bottle glass and textiles. A social area is also available for employees.
In addition to the small delivery area, two newly built halls and a canopy provide space for the emission-minimised handling and processing of paper and bulky waste deliveries. The paper and bulky waste halls were put into operation in August and September 2023.
Materials that meet the standards of CO₂-neutral construction were specifically used in the construction. In addition, the photovoltaics installed on the roofs generate 1,600 MW of renewable energy annually. This is equivalent to the energy needs of more than 530 households.
In the project, which began in 2017 with the first planning steps, pbo carried out the general planning for the engineering structures and technical equipment from the preliminary planning to the approval phase according to federal immission control law to the implementation planning as well as the subsequent local construction supervision.
