The RSAG (Rhein-Sieg-Abfallwirtschaftsgesellschaft) had earlier replaced the roof of one of its halls with a Photovoltaic (PV) system. Due to damages and wear and tear, the 4,236 modulesof the old PV system need to be replaced. Thanks to technological progress, the number of modules could be reduced to 570 while maintaining the same total output, so that the roof area required is now much smaller. The output of the PV system is 230.85 kWp. The new PV system will generate around 237,000 kWh of green energy, and additionally save around 90 tons of CO2 per year. The project was accompanied and implemented by pbo Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH from the basic assessment to acceptance in 2024.
