Task and implementation
At the beginning of the decade, a modern service centre for waste management and environmental technology services was planned for subsequent use on the former Leppe residual waste landfill site. In this context, we were commissioned to comprehensively redesign the access area to the industrial area as well as to the centre’s facilities.
For this, we first laid out a new route on the landfill body, into which we integrated the new entrance area with two truck scales as well as the newly constructed entrance building. In accordance with our plans, the systems for degassing, leachate collection and drainage were also adapted in the affected areas. All planning and construction measures were carried out while the landfill was still in operation.
